Bill Harrison Presentation “Wings over Arizona” and lunch

Arizonans had their first look at flying machines only a few years after the Wright brothers flew at Kitty Hawk, NC in 1903. Thousands of excited people flocked to the Phoenix Territorial Fairgrounds in 1910 to watch world famous aviators. Heavier-than-air crafts buzzed the grandstands, raced automobiles and performed dangerous aerial stunts that thrilled and terrified the crowd! Today, Arizona can brag about one of the busiest airports in the world, numerous Air Force bases, an aeronautical museum, a NASA research facility and a university dedicated to teaching aviation. A great presentation you don’t want to miss! Before the program at 12:15pm we will enjoy Krazy Sub Sandwich, chips, and dessert.
