Bill Harrison Presentation “AZ Stare Fair” and Dessert

State fairs are corny – and that’s why we love them! The lure of the fair has been irresistible for a century and a half. The Arizona Territorial Fair was first held in Phoenix in 1884. Thousands of people attended to celebrate the accomplishments of the territory’s agriculture and livestock industry. Today, the Arizona State Fair has become one of the biggest and best in the country featuring an endless variety of exciting competitions, celebrity entertainment, thrill rides, and mouthwatering foods. This is the story of how state fairs developed and matured, why they’re culturally important, and the youth organizations that played a significant role in their success. This is an outstanding program you don’t want to miss! Before the presentation we will be serving HOMEMADE DESSERTS ONLY! Carmel Corn, Cream Puffs, Chocolate Chip Cookies, to name a few.
